About

Zeist makes software. The products have little in common except how they start: using the alternatives for a long time and wondering how they could be better.

We build what we need and we keep using it. Companies start to crack the moment they stop using their own products, so we use ours every day. If we would not use it, it does not ship.

All of it is shown here, including what did not work. Pasture never shipped, and it taught us what Shio had to be. Foogl and Formweh became parts of Intuitive Software.

Each product has one print, cut from an old engraving of a real place chosen for it. See them all.

The name is a wooded town in the Netherlands, and an echo of zeitgeist.
